As CompuCom’s Chief Technology Officer, David Hall provides strategic leadership for CompuCom’s supply chain logistics, advanced integration, software and consulting initiatives. David brings more than 20 years experience in assessing, deploying, implementing and supporting IT technologies. In addition, David directs the company’s ISO 9001-certified integration and distribution operations.
David is also responsible for ensuring that the leading industry analysts understand CompuCom’s service offerings and strategic direction. The efforts have been critical to the company’s growing reputation as an IT services provider. He also manages CompuCom’s relationships with key leading software providers such as Microsoft, Computer Associates and Symantec. These relationships have been instrumental in the expansion of CompuCom’s implementation and support services.
David joined CompuCom in 1989 as a national consultant. He advanced through a variety of roles, including a Consulting Director for Enterprise Accounts, Vice President of CompuCom’s (PING) Product Integration and Networking Group, where he launched the company’s expansion into network integration. With PING, he led the development of industry-leading custom configuration and nationwide enterprise network deployment services. With a goal of reducing the cost of deployment and increasing service quality, David worked with his team to pioneer the Birth Certificate process tying the data from configuration of a device directly into a client’s Asset Management system. Most recently, David leads our professional services consulting team on a national basis. This consists of offering including platform migrations, asset management, Enterprise solutions, ITIL & Six Sigma based consulting services, and storage solutions. Additionally, David works closely with CompuCom’s outsourcing services management to tie together the synergy of the configuration services birth certificate to remote and centralized services (such as Help Desk, NOC and SOC) to offer a lower cost IT operating model utilizing what we refer to as an Integrated Infrastructure Management Service Delivery Model.
Before joining CompuCom, David spent several years in various positions in the IT organizations of Chase Manhattan and NYNEX Business Systems.
David earned degrees in programming and data processing from Delaware Technical College and attended Drexel University for Information Studies. In addition, David has most recently been invited to participate as a Board Member to the New Jersey EIRC, Educational Information & Resource Center. Lastly, David is an active member of the following Technical Advisory Boards: Altiris, BMC, CRN, Mimosa, Symantec North America and WW Advisory Council, and Teneros.
