As President of CompuCom’s Application Services and Excell Data Divisions, Rick Jorgensen is responsible for managing CompuCom’s contract consulting, event technical support, and application development and test lines of business throughout North America. CompuCom acquired Excell Data in 2001, which focuses on high-end application development and quality assurance services associated with custom software applications, new commercial software products, and e-commerce Web sites, as well as worldwide event technical planning and support. In 2004, CompuCom combined ClientLink™, a company that was also acquired in 2001, and Excell Data’s operations to create CompuCom’s Application Services Division.
Rick brings more than 38 years of information technology experience and more than 23 years of senior management experience to CompuCom. Prior to being named President of Excell Data, he was Vice President, Executive Director of Service Business Operations and Director of Technical Support Services at the company.
Previously, Rick was with IBM, where he received multiple sales, marketing, and management awards and developed a unique customer advocate position that later became a model for IBM’s western service operations. While at IBM, Rick also provided technical guidance and systems management training to data processing executives at a number of large organizations throughout the northwestern United States.
Rick has served on various nonprofit boards, including United Way and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Software Alliance (WSA) and chairs the WSA Government Affairs Committee.
