Companies Earn Top Recognition for Demonstrating Mutual Flexibility; Forbes and Everest Group Sponsor Key Industry Award
DALLAS—April 14, 2009—CompuCom Systems, Inc., a leading IT outsourcing company, announced today that it is the proud recipient of the 2009 Outsourcing Excellence award from the Outsourcing Center, sponsored by Everest Group and Forbes magazine. The relationship-based award in the Most Flexible category honors CompuCom’s successful and longstanding relationship with PSEG Services Corporation. CompuCom and PSEG together were chosen from a group of 33 semi-finalists for one of nine awards.
For more than a decade, the Outsourcing Excellence awards have recognized the world's most superior outsourcing relationships. Specifically, CompuCom and PSEG were recognized for demonstrating the most flexibility from both parties in resolving issues that arise over time as business needs of either or both parties change. Through the partnership, flexibility was demonstrated by the willingness to seek mutually beneficial solutions in both short-term and long-term outcomes and readiness to work through new challenges that arise by taking a partnering approach rather than a strict contractual approach. Applicants for the coveted Outsourcing Excellence award, along with their client partners, are required to complete an extensive survey and submit it to the Outsourcing Center. The Outsourcing Center then follows up with an interview of each client to discuss and assess the relationship with the respective applicant. Finalists are chosen and sent to an independent panel of industry judges who rank each relationship. Winners are chosen and then announced. Stories of the award-winning relationships will appear in the August 2009 Awards issue of Outsourcing Journal. Forbes magazine is helping to sponsor the awards celebration as well as provide coverage in its June 8, 2009 issue.
