CompuCom Honored as a Winner of Operational Excellence – Platinum Level at 2011 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference

Continuing Commitment to Creating Value and Delivering Client Satisfaction

DALLAS, Texas—August 11, 2011— CompuCom Systems, Inc., the leading IT outsourcing specialist, has won the Platinum Level Operational Excellence Award at the 2011 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference. The company was chosen out of the North American field of top Microsoft Partners for delivering market-leading operational excellence supporting Microsoft technology.

“CompuCom is thrilled to be selected as one of the handful of partners that received the Platinum Award. This is the eighth consecutive year our Dallas-based Microsoft operations team has won the award, and the seventh year in a row our Canadian-based Microsoft operations team has received the award,” said Ken Pharr, operations director at CompuCom. “This honor demonstrates our commitment to having the systems and processes in place to meet market demands as Microsoft continues to evolve and roll out new licensing models and products like Select Plus and Office 365. It also affirms that we provide the highest level of value to our clients.”

According to Mark Dalton, vice president of software sales at CompuCom, “We believe that buying technology is more than a transaction — it’s a solution that is about the people using the technology and relationships between clients and providers. Proactive collaboration with Microsoft helps us bring more value to our clients and increase their satisfaction with our services. Organizations can feel confident that we will do everything we can to ensure that they are presented with the best option for their organization and get the return on investment they were expecting.”

Winners were chosen from a pool of more than 30 entrants in the US and Canada. CompuCom was recognized for superior operational excellence, meeting or exceeding specific requirements for the number of valid agreements in a variety of categories, as well as the number of on-time and valid order submissions and revenue reconciliation. In addition, Platinum Level winners were able to collaboratively influence performance metrics not completely under their control. Platinum Level winners were able to drive outstanding performance in their organization’s adoption of key initiatives. By meeting these operational criteria, these winners have illustrated their commitment to providing value and superior customer satisfaction.

“These partners are great examples of the collaboration excellence that allow our customers to leverage Microsoft’s offerings to their fullest advantage,” said Mary Ellen Smith, general manager of commercial operations. “I’m happy to recognize this year’s winners for their outstanding execution quality and dedication to Microsoft and our customers alike.”
