The Challenge
In 2015, this retailer’s organization was looking to simplify how they managed IT support services in their stores while driving more accountability from its IT partner . Looking to reap the benefits of a streamlined service model, the company elected to partner with a single IT service provider to address in-store technology requirements. Doing so would allow them to stay focused on core business requirements, while at the same time, keep in-store technology up-to-date and managed more efficiently and cost effectively. With a dynamic store environment, this retailer needed a reliable and flexible partner with a strong understanding of the retail industry and the ability to support rapidly evolving business requirements.

The Solution

Over time, CompuCom’s continued relationship with this client has expanded to include support for all new store openings, remodels and special projects. For new stores, CompuCom designs the cable, voice and data infrastructure. At its Paulsboro, New Jersey delivery center, CompuCom integrates all the technology by preloading servers and configuring network equipment. Finally, CompuCom installs all store equipment prior to store openings. Additionally, CompuCom is responsible for maintaining all in-store technology as well as Mobile Device Management on an ongoing basis.
