We are excited to have you join our team. To help you make a smooth transition, we have streamlined the new hire process.  The quicker the business of completing new hire paperwork is done, the faster you can begin the task of becoming a fully functioning member of your team. 

Before you begin, you must have your network/ADS user id and password which can be obtained from your manager. If you are unable to reach your manager, please contact Compucom's Service Desk (CSD) at 972.856.3100 or toll free at 888.557.4129.

What to Do:  Your First Week

  • First Day: Please complete all items in your Workday Inbox.
  • Click here for the New Associate Roadmap. This will help guide you through your first two weeks as a CompuCom associate.
  • Once you have completed all of your action items in your Workday inbox log on to Aspire and search for and complete the “New Hire Orientation – Canada” recording.

New Manager Orientation Webinar

New Managers-Participate in the New Manager Orientation Webinar

To prepare you for your new role as a Compucom manager, please visit Aspire to complete the New Manager Orientation.  This important 45-minute webinar will provide you with an overview of your main functions and responsibilities as well as acquaint you with how to access the tools and resources necessary for you to do your job as a Compucom manager.

Login to Aspire. Click on The Library, then in the Compucom Library select New Manager Orientation. 


Getting Paid

To ensure that you receive your paycheck, complete the following forms: 

Complete new hire payroll information, including TD1 forms for federal taxes in Workday.  

Complete the required provincial tax form, if you are based in Quebec use this link and search for this form "TP1015.3" and either fax to Payroll at 972-856-5213 or email to TM-099-Payroll.

NOTE: You must use your network/ADS userid and password to access the following information: 

Instructions: Please complete before your first cheque is issued. Associates are paid current. If you do not enroll in direct deposit before your first cheque is issued, a "live" cheque which will be mailed for virtual associates (i.e., telecommute and onsite associates) or delivered to a Compucom facility (i.e., CompuCom facility associates).

Pay advices are available online in Workday  NOTE: Payroll cannot accommodate requests to print online pay advices. 


Update Global Address List

Update your home and business contact phone numbers in Workday.

Providing this information will update Microsoft Outlook and the information supplied to the Global Address List (GAL). 

NOTE: Due to privacy issues, home phone numbers are only displayed in Workday.   


Employment Equity

Compucom Canada is committed to employment equity and providing a workplace where every associate is treated with respect and integrity. This commitment will ensure that we have tools in place to eliminate barriers and ensure that all applicants and associates who are members of the designated groups (including women, visible minorities, aboriginal peoples and persons with disabilities) are provided a fair and equitable workplace.  If you belong to one or more of these four designated groups, you may elect to add this information to your Compucom Canada associate information stored in Workday.

All associates, whether or not you identify yourselves as a member of a designated group, are required to complete a brief Employment Equity Questionnaire on TheWIRE.


Enroll for Benefits

As a new Compucom associate, you must enroll within 31 days of your date of hire (eligibility date). If you do not enroll during this period, you will only be enrolled in associate only, Basic Life, AD&D, and Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and the Employee Assistance Program.  Your benefits enrollment information will be sent to the appropriate insurance carriers. Once the insurance companies receive your enrollment data, it usually takes 5 to 7 business days to setup your account. Direct Temporary associates are NOT eligible for benefits.

After you enroll you may drop, change, or enroll in benefits if you have a qualified status change or special enrollment rights and are approved by Sun Life if required.

Ready to enroll? Read and follow the New Hire Benefits Enrollment Instructions then click "Benefits Enrollment" in Workday (use your network userid and password) to make your online elections.   

Once you have enrolled for benefits, be sure to complete the Beneficiary nomination form and send it to myHR.


Read and Acknowledge the Associate Handbook

The Associate Handbook describes the many benefits, opportunities and responsibilities specific to your employment with Compucom Canada Co.  The Associate Handbook contains the Company's current employment policies, including policies on the terms and conditions of work, benefits and operating procedures.

All Canadian associates are required to review the Associate Handbook-Canada on CCHR Sharepoint, and to acknowledge it by completing the Associate Handbook-Canada Acknowledgement Form.


Complete Required Training

Compucom's learning management system is called Aspire. All new associates are required to complete the New Hire Canadian Training program within their first month of hire. The training is based on your role in the company as an associate or manager. Log on to Aspire.  Select The Library, then select CANADA All Training Resources, then select Canadian New Hire Core Compliance. Select one of the three options ( Associate, Manager or French).
